Configuration backup to e-mail

Hi!

 

I'm new to Fortinet and to this forum. We are deploying Fortinet only network, UTM+Switches+WiFi AP's. Until now we have been using Cyberoam CR100iNG and there I had feature to schedule configuration backup to e-mail. As I read documentation on FortiOS I don't see this option available. Is this feature beeing considered at least as an option? Or maybe it's hidden somewhere in CLI.

    Unfortunately the option does not exist right now. From the FortiGate itself, it can only push its config out via FTP or TFTP. If you have a server with SCP, it can use SCP to pull the configuration from the FortiGate (after enabling SCP on the FortiGate). You can also use an SSH script to pull configs.

     

    I agree the ability to push a config from the FortiGate via SFTP, SCP, or Email would be very welcome, though.
