Clarification on License Features for FortiGate (FortiCare)

Hi, I have a FortiGate (FortiCare) license that has not yet been activated, so I’m currently unable to see exactly which services and features are included.
I would like to know, in particular, which of the following types of logs the FortiGate is actually able to generate with the license I have:

Anomaly
APP-CTRL
DLP
DNS
EmailFilter
Event
FILE-FILTER
FORTI-SWITCH
GTP
ICAP
IPS
SSH
SSL
Traffic
Virus
VoIP
WAF
Webfilter

I retrived this type of logs from https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.2.2/fortios-log-message-reference/1

Thanks

Did you read this datasheet before purchasing the license? There are three types of FortiCare. But none of them include NGFW features.
https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/solution-guides/sb-forticare-services.pdf
But some of them you listed don't require any additional licenses, such as SSH, SSL. Also your listing is unclear, like what do you mean by "DNS" or "Event"?

I missed you wrote "log" categories. None of those would require licenses. But to see some logs, your FGT needs to have the features of course. Then some features require NGFW licenses like AntiVirus, Webfilter, IPS, etc.
But again, none of those are covered by FortiCare licenses.

there is for example IPS license to be purchased, and many other that regards security profiles too like SSH, DNS...

What license do you have?

Hi, you question is too broad - you listed a whole bunch of services, each of them may generate thousands of log types, so I don't think anyone will be able to answer it. On the other hand - Fortigate not activated and not licensed are not the same. To know which license you bought for this FOrtigate - just log in to your account under which this Fortigate was bought/registered in support.fortinet.com -> Assets and you will see what license this Fortigate has.

I can't register the license at the moment so I can't check. The list published regards type of logs, but in the documentation I did not find the link beetween security profile and logs associated (at least not a clear link). I was wondering if somebody alreday needed this level of details like me. Many thanks for your support!
