Capture-Packet

Hello,

I have upgraded to new FortiOS 5.4.0 and doesn't appear the capture-packet feature under network section. Anybody know how enable this feature.

I have already inspected in "Feature selected" but doesn't appear.

    It looks like 5.4 forgot to expose the link to this in the GUI.  Has anybody reported this to Fortinet?

     

    You can still get to it through the browser: https://<FortiGate IP>/p/firewall/sniffer/

     

    You can set a physical interface to be a one-armed sniffer in the GUI under Network > Interface > Edit interface.

     

    However, the option won't be available for any interface that is used in a security policy or in a zone.

    My mistake.  It is there in the GUI, under Network > Packet Capture.

    In v5.4, the appearance of the packet capture menu item depends on the usage of the local disk. This is detailed in the Release Notes for v5.4 GA and in at least one thread here in the forums lately.
