CANT SCAN Hosts after Persistent agent upgrade 5.3.0.77 to 9.4.0.93

After upgrading persistent agents for hosts to newest 9.4.0.93 scan results have disappeared for those hosts. When manually scanning an individual host screen becomes grey and freezes without a comment window. Degrading back to 5.3.0.77 does not seem to work.
