Cannot connect to public IP address from external to my home vpn server on fortwifi60e 5.4

Please excuse. I am new to fortinet and firewalls.

I got fortinet 60E 5.4 factoryreset. I have configured IPSEC vpn on and can connect successfully to the vpn with forticlient from my home network however, i cannot connect to the home vpn from outside of my home network. I have configured the forticlient to connect to the public ip address of my home router.

Is there any routing i have to add to map public ip to the internal fortinet device static ip address?
