Can’t save/edit network files when hp printer drivers are installed

I have full access to a network folder can can edit and save files, but when I installed my new hp printer I couldn’t edit or save files I could only view them, uninstalling the drivers fixed the problem but I need the drivers to print. A co-worker on the same network and VPN has no problem when the printer is installed.
