Can consumer gmail be blocked while allowing only Google App

Hello, My question may not be new to all but wanted to know expert' s opinion. Can consumer Gmail be blocked while allowing only Google Apps by installing any of the entry level Firewall of Fortigate? My network comprised of around 75 users and we are using Google Apps. I have Fortigate 60 firewall but it cannot perform this task. Also since its a very old product, I am planning to upgrade it with latest firewall that can support this feature.

yes, use Application Control. In the application control you can select particular google service or apps, Like block just gmail or gmail apps, but allow all other google service.

Have you enable SSL deep scan options? As Gmail default using SSL service, to blocked the encrpted pages you have to select SSL Deep Scan enable. Another thing, you may try to block mail.google.com & gmail.com via local webfilter and enable Https deep scan under protocol profile option. Let me know if this helps.
