Currently I have a Fortigate 60F and using a dedicated fortilink interface to port 24 of a S124EP switch. I now have a FortiAP C24JE wall plate AP I would like to add with built in switchports. Whats the best way to configure this into the system to make use of the AP and switch ports. Can I create another fortilink interface on my switch for it and have it pass all the information through to the AP/Switch combo?

Did you manage to add it with Fortilink?

I've added a C24JE on a Fortiswitch 108E connected to my FortiWifi but with manual IP address...

    Thanks :)

    Hi super mario bros,

As far as i know, you do not need to do VIP for ESP traffic.

Make sure ESP protocol is accepted in firewall policy service.

This should be fine. Please test and give us update

    Hello people playground

To integrate the FortiAP C24JE with built-in switch ports into your system, you can indeed use a second FortiLink interface on your FortiSwitch to connect to the AP. This setup will allow the switch ports to pass traffic through to the AP and provide centralized management. Configure the appropriate port on the switch as a FortiLink port, and ensure the FortiGate device can manage both the FortiSwitch and the FortiAP through the FortiLink connection.

    Hi Wolf Winner Casino

You don’t need a separate FortiLink interface for the C24JE. Simply connect its uplink port to a port on your S124EP switch that’s already part of your existing FortiLink. The FortiGate will manage both the AP and its built-in switch ports through the same FortiLink. You can then configure VLANs and policies centrally, and the AP’s switch ports will pass traffic as managed ports.
