Blocked DNS requests

Hello,

In the DNS profile, there is a section for Options, and a radio select button for "Redirect Blocked DNS requests."

One option is to "Use the Fortiguard default."

What does this do in essence?

I saw that with this option, in the logs I see 'redirect", but what does that mean?

Are there prerequisites to make sure that these requests really don't go through?

Or, is it sufficient to not chose, and have them show up in the logs as "blocked?"
