BGP neighbor issue.

We’re currently testing BGP neighbor status changed alert, so everything is configured and after I trigger the alarm by deleting BGP neighbor from FMG by navigating to the HUB then (network>>BGP>>neighbors' range) then deleting one of the neighbors' subnets which refers to the spoke's devices range, the BGP tunnel doesn’t goes down and shows Established and the deleted subnet also appearing i the routing table on CLI.

the question is does my action was correct? and it’s a BUG in the system or there is something that I should do different?

What’s showing now under “config router bgp” in CLI? especially “config neighbor-range”.
You might need to delete the “edit <n>” section, not only removing the subnet.
And I wouldn’t trust GUI when I need to manipulate a status or a part of entire BGP config for test purposes.

By the way, if you want to test a neighbor status change, you’d better shutting its neighboring down on the remove side. That’s what I would do.Removing the local config might not be considered as “status change” by the local FGT. At least log would be different. That would be a “config change”.

As you are doing the config change from the FMG, you need to push those config on the FGT

Did you install wizard and push the config to the FGT?

there is something i need to mention that I deleted the neighbor subnet on FMG GUI and installed wizard but i can see the tunnel in Established state so hot it is deleted and Established at the same time?

once you did the install wizard and removed the neighbour config, did you see the config also being removed on the FGT?

yes, it is removed but i can see its still established
