Barracuda F380 or Fortigate 200D

I am currently demoing a Fortigate 200D. So far the GUI makes sense (mostly because I used a Fortigate 200A years ago) support via the vendor we are demoing it with has been good. I have always been interested in Barracuda's offerings when it comes to firewalls. I have don an online demo of the FG380 and was very impressed with the feature set (VPN,Web Filtering)

One of the things I am looking for is: How good is the reporting. Because we have a Barracuda Spam filter 300 I know when upper MGNT asks me for a report on "What type of email is coming in for userx" I can send a excel report that has all the info on it that they are looking for. Yes, I plan on staying with the 300 for Spam filtering.. Does the F380 do this? If I am looking for this on the Fortigate would I need to purchase the FortiAnalyzer to do this? Does the Fortigate have a built in feature that can do this? is the FortiAnalyzer a yearly subscription or do I just buy it once?
