ask - WAN PPPoE can't ping to internet

hi there,

 

we have use PPPoE connection for WAN. I've set the interface, and get DNS and IP Public (dynamic), status also up.

but when I want to ping over CLI (use ping options source), the result is 100% loss. trying to make PPPoE connection from home wireless router, can connect internet.

 

need help please.

    Do you see the IP it pulled over PPPoE? "Stauts up" doesn't mean it actually successfully pulled the IP.

    Hi, sorry just now give update.

    Trying click "Renew", after take some clicks, it works.

    when connection idle, it will need "Renew" as above.

     

    don't know why. is it normal?

    If it was working before and stopped working, I would keep watching it comes back again. If this is the first time you connected it to the circuit something might have happened on the ISP side for the first time, or anything else inbetween. But if that happens the IP shouldn't appear. I regularly don't use GUI but CLI "get sys int phy" though.
