Question

Alternating row color in policy and log view ?

Hi all,

When looking at the policy or logs either in a Fortigate or Fortimanager GUI all policy and log rows have the same white background color.

I remember that i saw GUIs where the rows had alternating colors (every second row was grey or light yellow).

Would be great to have that for better visibility on a large screen.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how ?

Fortigate version is 6.4. and FortiManager version is 7.0.

Thanks!

Regards,

Olaf

Hi Olaf

On FortiGate, the policy will becomes yellow background where you highlighted the policy.

For the grey section, I guess which might be the "Insert Sequence Grouping" which used to group some similar or related policy into a group.

You may right-click of the policy and select "Insert Sequence Grouping" and move those related policy into this group by just drag and drop.

Cole

Hi Cole,

Yes, if you select one row it changes its color to yellow-ish.

And i dont mean the grouping of policy lines...

Especially for viewing the logs on a large screen it would be nice to have the rows in different colors, alternating between grey and white for example.

I dont know the correct term for that feature as i am not a native english speaker ;)

I have seen it a while ago, maybe it was supported on older versions ?

Or it is a special cli command or something ?

Regards,

Olaf
