Adding 200G into 100F FortiManaged Estate

if your adom is set to v7.2 it will only support 7.0 too and I am not sure if it will still let you add a 7.0 device.

200G is not anymore supported in 7.0 or newer as far as I saw in support portal. So if adom is 7.0 or 7.2 you will not be able to add it.

The Model itself doesn't care here but it must have compatible fortios version. 

We e.g. have 100E,100F and 200F in one Adom without problems.

The supported firmware can be checked through the FortiOS Compatibility Tool. You will need separate ADOMs if FGTs with different firmware will be managed by the same FMG.

ya you can do seperate adoms as long as the last FortiOS that supports the 200G is still supported by your FMG!

So enable ADOMs and I should be able to manage it.
Do we know what firmwares 200G are shipping with now?

and what Version is your FMG?

Actually I cannot find a FGT200G even in the Product live cycle documents. Are you sure this is the correct model?

hm one can find a datasheet of the 200G and dealers that sell it on the internet. But there is no mark of its existence in support portal. There is no firmware images (except from v3.0 that has one for FortiGate 200) and also no entry in the product live cycles. Strange...does fortinet completely deny the existence of FG200G?

FMG v7.2-8 supports FOS 6.4,7.0 and 7.2.

Still cannot find FG200G or 201G anywhere in support portal.

Which FOS version does youe 201G run currently?

Based on what I got:

1) We may have a FortiOS 7.2.10 special build for FGT 200G. But it is not available yet;

2) FGT 200G will be merged into 7.4.8. FortiOS 7.4.8 is still not available yet.

So you have to wait for the 7.2.10 special build released or 7.4.8 GA released for FGT 200G, then you can add your FGT 200G into your FMG.

If you apply FortiOS 7.4.8 GA later to your FGT 200G, your FMG has to upgrade to 7.4 latest patch as well for the compatibility.

well alas your FMG runs 7.2 you should be able to add your 200G running on 7.2.8.
