70G ready for production?

I need to replace a firewall, and now have to decide between Fortigate 70F and 70G. The price for a HA cluster is pretty much the same. According to the datasheets, the 70G offers way better performance. However, I got an other G-Series firewall last year, and it was delivered with an old, vulnerable firmware. We had no chance to upgrade at first, and later couldn’t follow a supported upgrade path.

But this was about 6 months ago, so I’m wondering if the G Series is ready for production now, or if we should still stick with the F-series.
