    Hi All

Must confess that I a bit disappointed at the lack of assistance, especially on a manufacturers forum.

But regardless, herewith the end solution in case some other poor schlep comes across this issue.

Tested on both a Huawei E3531 and E3131 modem.

    #####################################################################################################

    config system modem

        set status enable

        set auto-dial enable

        set phone1 "*99#"

        set dial-cmd1 "atd"

    end

    config system 3g-modem custom

        edit 1

            set vendor "Huawei"

            set model "E3131"

            set vendor-id 12d1

            set product-id 15ca

            set init-string "55534243123456780000000000000a11062000000000000100000000000000"

        next

    end

    #####################################################################################################

    config router static

        edit 3

            set device "modem"

            set comment "Huawei 3G Modem"

        next

    end

    #####################################################################################################

    config system link-monitor

        edit "wan1 check"

            set srcintf "wan1"

            set server "8.8.8.8"

            set protocol ping

            set gateway-ip x.x.x.x

            set source-ip 0.0.0.0

            set interval 5

            set timeout 5

            set failtime 5

            set recoverytime 1

            set ha-priority 1

            set update-cascade-interface enable

            set update-static-route enable

            set status enable

        next

    end

    #####################################################################################################

Hello Gerad I've tried with HUAWEI E3531 on 60D 5.6.7 without success.

    Can you help me?
