Question

3000D model firmware missing in 7.4.11 and 7.6.6 version

Until last week, our firewall indicated 7.4.11 as the mature release; however, as of today, I've observed it displaying 7.4.9 as the mature release. Furthermore, I am unable to locate these specific versions within the upgrade path. I am inquiring if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue. I have already initiated a TAC case to gather additional information regarding this matter.

In Supportportal  7.4.10 and 7.4.11 exist but only für 3000F. Seems like Fortinet removed Support for 3000D in there. 7.4.9 still supports a 3000D.

Interestingly the release notes of both 7.4.10 and 7.4.11 state that a 3000D is still supported. Though there is no Firmware File for a 3000D available.

Hello aduba,

As per further checking, there is a known issue with id: 1252663 that affected FortiGate D-series for this specific firmware version.

Reference:
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.11/fortios-release-notes/236526/known-issues
On FortiGate D-series devices running older BIOS versions, the serial number changes to FGT0000000000001 after upgrading to FortiOS 7.4.10, 7.4.11, 7.6.5, and 7.6.6.

According to the information we have, the fix will be included in the next FortiOS release, version 7.4.12 GA. (tentative schedule date not yet announced).
