Hi all,

Fortigate support 2FA authentication with email address.

However, even I create a new user or modify the existing user, I cannot see the email authentication option for choosing. Which firmware version started using email authentication?

Dear Benny,

FGT Version 6.4.3 support 2FA with Email address. The activation code will be sent to user configured email address.

From the screenshots i can see Email authentication is available.

Hi Benny,

The initial step needs to be performed in the CLI. Once that is done, it will become visible in the GUI.

Assuming you are editing an existing user:

config user local edit "local-user" set two-factor email set email-to "abc@xyz.com" end

 Result:

GUI email 2FAGUI email 2FA

Thanks a lot for Waqas Arshad and Pminarik.

I did not know why Fortigate has to hide this email authen option in GUI.
