100F WAN Interface speed settings only show auto

I have a 100F and the WAN Interface only shows speed settings for auto. No 1000Full, 100Full, ect... Fortigate is on 7.2.8. If I go to a lan port I have more options. My ISP has set their interface to 100Full, but on the fortigate get hardware nic wan2 it's showing half duplex 100. I am not able to force to 100Full. Are 100F's not able to set port speed other than auto?

Hello @UnderscoresAndDashes ,

This is a known issue (0989629) on FortiOS Version 7.2.8

The issue is scheduled to be fixed in FortiOS 7.2.9 and 7.4.5

The older version 7.2.7 also works.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. I have test a 100F in lab myself and had same result. I believe that is correct, this firewall only offer the auto option for speed.

Thank you,

saleha

Besides, in general I think setting it auto is always the best choice.

To point/figure out the speed setting problem on the other side, which you don't have access to, you need to be able to try both "auto" and "naildown" then you can convince someone who manage the other side of config. This bug hinders troubleshooting ability.
