Troubleshooting Tip: 'License has been uploaded' issue

Description This article describes how to troubleshoot the issue related to FortiWeb GUI showing 'License has been uploaded'.
Scope FortiWeb-VM v7.2.
Solution

This is assuming that the VM has already full internet access or can otherwise reach the FortiGuard servers.

Troubleshooting Tip: Unable to connect to FDS servers

 

If the issue is not solved continue with the 2 Workarounds:

 

Disable ANYCAST:

  1. Downgrade to the old version.
  2. Disable anycast in the old version.

Enable it first:


FortiWeb1 # config system global
FortiWeb1 (global) # set fortiguard-anycast enable
FortiWeb1 (global) # end

 

And disable it again to make sure it is disabled:


FortiWeb1 # config system global
FortiWeb1 (global) # set fortiguard-anycast disable
FortiWeb1 (global) # end

 

  1. upgrade the firmware again to v7.2.0.

Upgrade to 7.2.1 and above:

  1. Downgrade to the old version.
  2. Upgrade firmware again to 7.2.1.
