Technical Tip: Upload a license to FortiWeb-VM using the BYOL (Bring Your Own License) model

Description

This article outlines the process for downloading a BYOL license from FortiCloud and uploading it to FortiWeb-VM.

Scope

FortiWeb-VM BYOL.

Solution

Once FortiWeb-VM has been deployed, the dashboard will appear as shown in the following image.

Please note that the serial number before loading the license is: FVVM00UNLICENSED.

To download the FortiWeb-VM license, follow the steps outlined in the article below:

After downloading the .lic file, navigate to the FortiWeb-VM graphical interface and select the following options: Licenses Widget -> VM License -> Update VM License.
