Technical Tip: How to verify LDAP remote server group authentication user

Description

This article describes how to verify the LDAP Remote Server Group Authentication user.

Scope

FortiWeb and FortiWeb-VM.

Solution

Step 1: Configure Group Authentication for the LDAP Server accordingly.
Step 2: Select the Test LDAP button.

Step 3: Input the respective Username and Password and select OK.

If the user is in the configured Windows AD group, 'Operation successful' will be prompted.

If the user is not in the configured Windows AD group, 'Failed to search user DN' will be prompted.
