Technical Tip: How to collect the logs needed for investigating high CPU usage problem

| Scope | FortiWeb v7.0 and above. |
| Login to Fortiweb SSH by using the default 'admin' account and collect the following when the CPU usage is on the higher side.
get system performance diagnose debug crashlog show diagnose debug coredumplog show
Let the commands listed below run for 2 minutes.
diagnose system perf
When the CPU usage is high, take a screenshot of the 'Throughput - Total HTTP throughput' and 'Policy Sessions' widgets as seen below.
Along the above files, attach the configuration backup and the system debug file. To download the system debug file, go to System -> Maintenance -> Debug -> Debug Log and download the debug log file.
Also, download the Event logs from Log & Report -> Log Access -> Download. |
