Troubleshooting Tip: When initially login on the phone any word can be used for username
| Description | This article describes the abnormal behavior on the FortiFone-x80 series, allowing logging with a wrong username. As well as the abnormal behavior, after updating the phone profile to change the default password for the admin account, the Admin account (with capital A) can continue to log in using the default password. |
| Scope | FortiFone-x80 series. |
| Solution | The default phone profile is edited, changing the default password in the admin account:
The profile assigned to any extension with the FortiFone-x80 series is still able to log in using 'Admin' username and default-password=23636.
Or, when initially logging in on the phone, any word can be used for a username.
This is not correct, and only a valid username will be used.
The issue found at build 151 is that the Web Interface no longer requests a Username and Password when either setting Log levels or Downloading logs. At X80/X80B/W80B F/W v7.0.2(GA), build142, the Username and Password are requested in the Web Interface, as a security feature.
This abnormal behavior has been fixed in v7.2.0, build 216. |
