Description

This article describes a scenario where calls to remote extension started with are denied caused no permission for long-distance numbers.

Scope

FortiVoice v7.2.x.

Solution

The user will place a call from extension 2275 to 1812:

Ext 2275 ----LocalPBX<-----Office Peer----->Remote PBX---- Ext 1812.

The call will be denied. In the CDR, Admin will observe:

Permission denied, user privilege:<PR_NVM>, reason:<no permission for long distance number>

This is related to the configuration of the Long-distance prefix to 1.

As an alternative to fix the issue:

  1. On Local PBX, create an office peer trunk with the following settings:

Local/Incoming digit pattern: XXXX.

Office digit pattern: 8918XX, 8919XX.

  1. On the remote peer PBX, configure an inbound rule with:

From Trunk: <select office peer trunk>.
