Technical Tip: FVC configure SIP Trunk

Description

This article provides basic steps to configure a SIP trunk.

Scope 

FortiVoice.

Solution

1. Create a SIP trunk Profile: Go to Phone System -> Profiles.
                                                                                                  

    

2. Configure SIP proxyRegister authentication: By phone number:
                                                                                       
3. 

   Configure Incoming DID. Go to Trunks -> VoIP and select the profile previously created, and add a number (DID).

                                                                        
4. 

   Create Inbound Call routing. Go to Call routing -> Inbound.

   For testing purposes:

   Action: Go to the local extension.

   Resource: Extension.

    

   

    

5. Configure Outbound Call Routing.
   Go to Call Routing -> Oubound.
   Prefix 9 | Line Type: SIP trunk.
                                                 
   
6. Configure profile.
   Go to Call Features -> User privileges.
                                                     
   

    

7. Apply Profile to an extension.
   Go to Extensions -> extension.
