Technical Tip: Display Call Forwarded Extension DID number instead of Original Caller ID

This article describes user requirement to display call forwarded extension DID number instead of original caller ID.

FortiVoice.

In order to display extension number DID instead of the original caller ID.

- Go under Extension -> Extension -> IP Extension -> Particular EXT Number-> Edit Preference.

- Under Edit Preference, enable Call forward to designate number <XXXXXXXX>.

- Disable Retain Original Caller ID.

Description on the Video attached:

- Softphone client dial 967052141 to hit Extension 1141.

- Extension 1141 is pre-configured with Call Forwarding function to 775130.

- Instead of showing call coming from  Extension 775150 in 775130.

- By disabling Retain Original Caller ID.

- Extension 1141 will only show DID 67052141 instead of 775150.
