Technical Tip: Configuring a 'Personal Code' to make some restricted calls

1. Go to Extension -> Extension -> IP Extension.
2. Double-click an extension, then go to User Settings -> Phone Access.

Configure the Personal Code:

This code is necessary to make some restricted calls.

Select Generate to get a code.

3. Go to User Setting -> Management, then select and edit the User Privilege profile.
4. From User Privilege -> Call Restriction, define the restriction for International, LongDistance, Local, or Internal calls.

Note: The FortiVoice system uses the Location settings (PhoneSystem -> Setting) to identify the prefix for:

• LongDistance (Long-distance prefix).
• International (International prefix).
• Internal (Area code).
