The Direct Line Access feature allows a client to make outbound calls without dialing a 9 before the actual phone number.
Solution
This feature can be enabled from the management software:
- Go to Local Extensions/Fax page.
- Select the extension and click on Additional settings.
- Put a check mark on Use Direct Line Access.
- Select the Hunt group which the call will be using to make the outbound call.
- Ensure that User Privilege is set to use that specific Hunt Group.
- If not, it can be configured under User Privilege on the page Outgoing Access.
- Select the hunt group number(s) and make sure to File/Save.
