Technical Note: Disabling 'Asserted Identity' on SMB D series to fix outbound call issue with VoIP

Description
This article is applicable for FortiVoice SMB systems running firmware build FVxxx-rev-71745-P3 and greater.

Scope
Outbound calls failing.

Solution
Under System > Profiles if you edit the Settings for your VoIP trunk by clicking on the blue gear, you will see the option to Enable / Disable Asserted Identity.

With some providers, this is not supported and will cause outbound calls to fail, as they will reject the call if it has the P Asserted Identity line in the INVITE.

Simply disable it to resolve the issue.
