This article provides a fix for the activation of FortiToken 200 devices with serial numbers starting with FTK2002A and FTK2002B.
Solution
Fortitoken 200 devices with an invalid serial number starting with FTK2002A or FTK2002B may be activated as follows:
1. Download the attached compressed file containing the Fortinet SN Check Tool for Windows.
2. Unzip the file to a convenient folder.
3. Run the Fortinet SN Check Tool application.
4. Input the FortiToken serial number for the device (found on the back label of the token). This is the invalid serial number.
5. Press "Check".
6. The tool will output the correct serial number. Only the last two digits will change.
SN data can be pasted into and results copied from the Fortinet SN Check Tool UI.
7. Input the correct serial number into the FortiGate or FortiAuthenticator for activation.
