Technical Tip: Number of access VLANs supported with Rapid PVST+ or RPVST+
Description
This article describes the allowed number of access VLANs supported on the FortiSwitch series interoperation with Rapid PVST+ or RPVST+.
Scope
For the FortiSwitch series.
Solution
Up to FortiSwitch v7.4.2:
Up to 16 VLANs are supported, including native VLANs. The same VLANs used in the RPVST+ domain must be configured.
Support for interoperation with Rapid per-VLAN RSTP (Rapid PVST+ or RPVST+) v7.4.2
On or above FortiSwitch v7.4.3 or v7.6.0:
Check the FortiSwitch feature matrix for information on the VLAN capacity of each FortiSwitch model. The total VLAN limit includes native VLANs. Setting up the same VLANs as those in the RPVST+ domain is necessary.

There is a hardware limitation when enabling the number of access VLANs on FortiSwitch VLAN.
