Troubleshooting Tip: How to fix connector installation issue in FortiSOAR

Description This article describes how to fix the issue that occurs during the installation of the connector in FortiSOAR.
Scope FortiSOAR.
Solution

When attempting to install the connector, the GUI shows a 'completed' status with a success message, but it prompts for installation again when trying to access or configure it.

  1. It might be a failing with the below error '/var/log/cyop/install/connectors.log' during connector installation:

 

Error: Importing of connector <connector_name.tgz> failed: "config_id"

 

  1. Verify if a duplicate connector with the same name is already installed and configured in the system.

Login to FortiSOAR -> Automation -> Connector -> Seach under Managed tab.

 

  1. There is a chance of conflict with the config id of the existing custom connector.

     

  2. Remove the existing connector along with its config and then try to install the original connector from the FortiSOAR repo.

     

  3. If it still fails try installing using yum install <connector_name>.
