This article describes how to resolve the AADSTS70008 error 'The provided authorization code or refresh token has expired due to inactivity. Send a new interactive authorization request for this user and resource'.

Solution

If the existing authorization code or refresh token has expired or been revoked due to a password change, modification to the Azure application, or other authentication changes: reauthorize the connector by following the steps below.

  • Step 1: Open private/incognito browser window.

  • Step 2: Enter the authorization URL configured in the connector to initiate a new authentication request.

  • Step 3: Sign in using the Azure account configured in the connector and complete the authentication process.

  • Step 4: After successful authentication,copy the newly generated Authorization Code from the redirect URL/response.

  • Step 5: Update the connector configuration with the new Authorization Code and save the configuration.

  • Step 6: Verify the connector by performing a health check or running the required action.
