Description

This article describes how to backup the CMDB database in FortiSIEM. The CMDB contains discovered information about devices, servers, networks and applications.

The information is stored in a relational database.

It is important to archive the data since the database files may get corrupt.

Solution

The database files are stored in /data/cmdb/data. FortiSIEM automatically backs up this data twice daily and the backup files are stored in /data/archive/cmdb. To do a backup, move these files to another location.

# pwd
/data/archive/cmdb
# ls -lt
total 1213952
