Technical Note: How to create a report for an unmanaged device

This article describes how to create a report for devices with“unmanaged” status in CMDB. 
It can be useful for MSP clients planning on future license updates or to get a current tally on how many devices a current customer has compared to what has been monitored.

Scope


Solution

Here is a step by step guide: 

1. In the FortiSIEM UI, go to CMDB > CMDB Reports.

2. Click New

3. Fill in: Report Name & Description

4. For Target: Select Device

5. Add the following Condition:

Device Unmanaged Flag = True

6. Add the following Display Columns: 

Device Name, Device IP, Device Type Vendor, Device Type Model, Device Discover Time

(Choose extra columns available based on attribute type or report type.)

7.Save the CMDB Report (It will allow to recall it).
