Questions About Upgrading to FortiSIEM 7.3.2

Hello FortiSIEM Community,

I have a couple of questions regarding the upgrade process to FortiSIEM version 7.3.2

 

  1. Where can we download the upgrade package "FSM_Upgrade_All_7.3.2_build0374.zip"?
    I understand this package is required for the upgrade, but I would appreciate guidance on the exact location or steps to download it.

  2. Upgrade Process Clarification:
    The Fortinet documentation mentions that the Supervisor and Worker nodes should use the same package for the upgrade. Does this mean that once we upgrade the Supervisor, Worker, the entire FortiSIEM system will automatically be upgraded to version 7.3.2?

Hi @acronymm,

 

1) Download the zip from the same source you got the original images, the support portal (support.fortinet.com -> firmware images). Note, that you need to use an account from the organization that has the valid FSM license to be able to download the images

2) A FSM deployment consists of Supervisor(s) and optionally Workers, Collectors and Agents. Each component member must be upgraded individually. In your referenced guide, you can see how to upgrade each of the components in detail. In general, for Supervisors and Workers, you upload and install the zip via SSH on the servers directly, for every other you work with the GUI on the Supervisor for uploading and triggering installation.

 

Make sure, you follow the guide word by word, because most upgrading issues come from not following the guide exactly ;)
