Question

Delete a worker from FortiSIEM cluster

Hello,

I have new deployment of FortiSIEM which consists of 5 workers and 1 Supervisor.

I ran initial setup(ConfigFSM.sh) on all workers and proceeded to add them on the supervisor, but two of the workers had an issue on how storage had been configured so I had to rebuild the VMs again.

Now after re-configuring them again at the VM level, I want to delete them from the supervisor GUI and add them afresh. I've tried deleting it from GUI but I've not been successful.

How do I delete a worker completely until its removed from the supervisor GUI on FortiSIEM?

    Hello,

Please try changing the status of the workers to Unmanaged from the CMDB tab, and then attempt to delete the worker.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hello,

I have changed the status on CMDB to Unmanaged but it reverts back to Approved.

When I delete it on Admin -> License -> Nodes, I get the message below.upload community.png

How do I delete the worker and also remove from the Supervisor GUI?

This usually happens when the worker is still registered in the cluster config even after VM rebuild, so cleanup may need removing it from supervisor node list or using CLI to de-register before re-adding; cx777 might help as a quick reference for FortiSIEM cluster management scenarios like this.
