Collector Moved to Azure from on Prem VM

Are there not differing images to instantiate a Collector depending in where it will lives?

If the collector is a VM living on a on Prem server, and then that image gets moved to the Azure "cloud" then does that not break the Collector and a new image needs to be fully installed? What image do I use, to talk to our 7.1.3 SIEM.
