Technical Tip: FortiSASE user onboarding with SAML authentication

Description

This article describes the new FortiSASE feature that supports SAML Authentication for user Onboarding.

Scope

FortiSASE v25.1.

Solution

From FortiSASE v25.1, FortiSASE admin can now activate User Onboarding with SSO authentication. The admin would need to configure the FortiSASE with SAML SP configuration and also perform the necessary configuration on the Customer SAML IDP.

A New invitation code is generated after the activation. However, the existing users will continue to work and will be migrated.

Note:

Previously, a user with the invitation code was able to connect to FortiSASE, but now an authentication to identify is enabled.
