Technical Tip: FortiSASE User groups compare with Endpoint groups

| Solution | In FortiSASE, there are two kinds of groups: User groups and Endpoint groups. It could be confusing if mixing the concepts of both groups.
User groups: The User groups are for onboarding and connecting to the SIA.
The User group can be applied to the policy.
The User groups will be updated to the backend POPs.
Endpoint group: The endpoint group can be edited in Endpoint management.
The endpoint group can be added to different endpoint profiles:
And assign the endpoint register to the FortiSASE.
It can be shown from the dashboard: Endpoint widget:
The endpoint groups will be updated to the FortiSASE EMS cloud for TAGs and endpoint management. |
