Technical Tip: Downloaded endpoint list from FortiSASE cannot be opened as CSV or other file formats

Description

This article describes how to view the Endpoint list in an Excel sheet downloaded from the FortiSASE portal.

Scope

Solution

1. Users can download the list of Endpoints connected to FortiSASE by navigating to Dashboard → Status → Endpoints. After the page loads completely, select Export All to download the Endpoint details associated with the SASE instance.
                                                                          
   

    

2. The downloaded file is named exported-data. Select the file, select Open with, and choose Google Chrome. This will download a ZIP file named exported-data.
                                                                 
   

    

3. Unzip the file to a folder other than the Downloads folder. Once the extraction is successful, an exported-data.csv file will be available. Open this file in Excel.

Note: If any browser pop-ups appear while downloading the Endpoint file from the FortiSASE portal, allow them to complete the download.
