Troubleshooting Tip: Error: 'The hardware configuration doesn't support Nested mode'

This article describes how to resolve the error 'The hardware configuration doesn't support Nested mode'.

Solution

Error is showing: 'The hardware configuration doesn't support Nested mode.' when the user navigates under System -> Azure config -> Nested Mode.

Check to make sure that the hosted Virtual Machine size is at least Standard_D8s_v3 (8vcpus, 32 GiB memory) or larger in Azure.
