Technical Tip: How to install Android VM into FortiSandbox

1. No license is required for using the Android VM in the FortiSandbox.
2. Use the CLI command below to install the Android VM into the FortiSandbox v4.0.

fw-upgrade -v -thttps -sfsavm.fortinet.net -f/images/v4.00/AndroidVM_2.pkg

3. In FortiSandbox v5.0, use the CLI command below:

fw-upgrade -v -thttps -s208.91.114.134 -f/images/v5.00/AndroidVMV5_1.pkg

4. The following screenshot indicates that the Android VM has been successfully installed into the FortiSandbox:

Note: Beginning with FortiSandbox version 5.0.2, the Android VM is no longer supported on FortiSandbox virtual machine deployments, including on-premise and public cloud environments (for example, FSA-VM, FSA Hyper-V VM, FSA-AWS, and similar platforms).

Support for the Android VM (AndroidVMV5) remains available only on FortiSandbox hardware appliances.
