Technical Tip: How to activate free FortiSandbox Cloud when purchased antivirus license under UTP bundle
Description
This article describes how to activate the free FortiSandbox Cloud when purchasing an antivirus license under the UTP bundle.
Scope
FortiSandbox Cloud.
Solution
Important note:
Purchase the antivirus license under the UTP bundle. Otherwise, this solution will not work.
- By default, having the antivirus license alone will prevent enabling the FortiSandbox cloud from the GUI because it requires having FortiSandbox Cloud entitlement.
- Activating FortiGate Cloud is required before enabling FortiSandbox Cloud under the antivirus license.
To activate FortiGate Cloud, refer to the following LB article: Technical Tip: How to register and activate a FortiCloud account
Make sure that it is showing as 'Activated' on the dashboard.
It is also possible to use the following command to log in to the FortiGate Cloud account if it is already registered:
exec fortiguard-log login <email> <password>
- For more web login or account registration, refer to the following link: https://login.forticloud.com
- Activate FortiSandbox Cloud using the following command and select the region:
execute forticloud-sandbox region
- Cross-check on the FortiSandbox Fabric Connector and it will be enabled.
Additionally from the CLI, it is possible to get the details of the Cloud-sandbox-controller and APT server:
diagnose test application forticldd 19
This command is for Cloud-sandbox-controller:
diagnose test application forticldd 3
This command displays the APT server and APT Altserver used at present.
