Technical Tip: Understanding log viewing limits in FortiPortal

This article explains how log entries are displayed in FortiPortal, including page size options and the maximum log limits per ADOM.

Solution

On the FortiPortal site, log entries can be viewed through the GUI. 

When navigating to Insights -> Logs, each page can display 20, 50, 100, or 200 log entries.

By design, the total number of viewable logs is limited to a maximum of 1,000 entries per ADOM per FortiAnalyzer, and this limit cannot be changed.

For example, when the page size is set to display 200 logs, and there are two ADOMs, the logs section will show up to 10 pages in total.
