Description

This article describes the issue of the secret launcher not being found when using agentless mode, and affecting FortiPAM with firmware version 1.8.1.

Scope FortiPAM v1.8.1.
Solution

When using FortiPAM with agentless setup, the secret cannot be launched. The error message shows as follows:

This issue affects Chrome and Edge browsers.

This issue will be fixed in version 1.8.2 and above.

For a temporary workaround, contact the Support team for a special build that includes the fix patch for this issue or use a different browser, such as Firefox.

In some instances, this message is also seen for the reason below.

The launcher does not support the OS example: The launcher by default supports Windows OS, and if the launch process was triggered on MAC OS/ MAC machine, then this message gets popped up: 'This secret does not have any launcher'.

In the screenshot above, the supported OS shows 'Windows', so if the secret inhibiting this launcher was triggered in a MAC machine, then the message will be shown as the launcher does not support the OS.

Note: Default launchers cannot be edited to add the OS, so it is necessary to create a clone of the default launcher.

Example:

Create a custom launcher and then add the OS that is required. The example below shows that macOS is added to the MobaXterm-clone launcher.
