Troubleshooting Tip: Secret launcher cannot be found in agentless mode
| Description | This article describes the issue of the secret launcher not being found when using agentless mode, and affecting FortiPAM with firmware version 1.8.1. |
| Scope | FortiPAM v1.8.1. |
| Solution | When using FortiPAM with agentless setup, the secret cannot be launched. The error message shows as follows:
This issue affects Chrome and Edge browsers. This issue will be fixed in version 1.8.2 and above. For a temporary workaround, contact the Support team for a special build that includes the fix patch for this issue or use a different browser, such as Firefox.
In some instances, this message is also seen for the reason below. The launcher does not support the OS example: The launcher by default supports Windows OS, and if the launch process was triggered on MAC OS/ MAC machine, then this message gets popped up: 'This secret does not have any launcher'.
In the screenshot above, the supported OS shows 'Windows', so if the secret inhibiting this launcher was triggered in a MAC machine, then the message will be shown as the launcher does not support the OS.
Note: Default launchers cannot be edited to add the OS, so it is necessary to create a clone of the default launcher.
Example: Create a custom launcher and then add the OS that is required. The example below shows that macOS is added to the MobaXterm-clone launcher.
