Troubleshooting Tip: Switch ports not visible in network inventory

Description


This article describes a solution to the issue where FortiNAC does not show the ports of recently added switches. In these cases, the port tab stays blank under Network -> Inventory.


Scope


FortiNAC-F v7.4.4, 7.4.5, 7.4.6


Solution


Open the FortiNAC CLI and execute the following commands:

execute enter-shell
dumpports -ip <Switch IP> -sync


Once this is done, refresh the browser to view the ports.

Note: This behavior will be permanently fixed in FortiNAC v7.6.6 HF, v7.6.7.
