Description

This article describes the process to resolve the error 'Mobile number and country cannot be empty!' that occurs when guest users enter their phone number on the Guest Registration portal.

Scope

Solution

Verify the configuration of the Guest Self-Registration data fields and template settings:

  1. Navigate to:
    Users & Hosts -> Guest and Contractors -> GuestSelfRegistration Entry.

  2. In the GuestSelfRegistration Template -> Data Fields, confirm that both the Mobile Number and Country fields are set as Required.

  3. Navigate to:
    Portal Configuration -> Registration -> Self-Registration Login

  4. Under Notify Users via SMS -> Default Guest Template, verify that the correct Guest Template is selected and properly assigned.
