Technical Tip: Manage and review archived logs and alarms in FortiNAC

Logs and alarms remain viewable on FortiNAC GUI under 'Logs -> Events & Alarms' for 7 days by default before getting archived. This value can be changed under 'System -> Settings -> System Management -> Database Archive -> Event/Alarm age Time'.

To view archived logs, go to 'Logs -> Events & Alarms -> Events', select 'Import', and a drop-down list will display all the available archives.

To view archived Alarms, go to 'Logs -> Events & Alarms -> Alarms', select 'Import'.

Archives are saved under '/bsc/backups/database', named with 'EVENTS_Archive_...' and 'ALARMS_Archive_....'.

These archives will be purged based on the value selected for 'Local Backup Retention Period:' under 'System -> Settings -> System Management -> Database Archive', which is 90 days by default.
